Manisha Sinha joined Expansion Therapeutics in March of 2023 as Head of Translational Biology. Previously, she served in leadership roles at Elevian, Inc., where she was Senior Director of Discovery & Pre-Clinical Development and Head of Cell Biology, leading three functionally distinct teams in advancing the lead bio-therapeutic asset from discovery to clinic. Prior to her tenure at Elevian, she made significant contributions to discovery research groups focused on target validation through prosecution using gene therapy and small molecule modalities at Solid Biosciences and Biogen. At these organizations, she helped advance multiple programs targeting neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases. Although her industry career began at Biogen, her extensive foundation in research began with her doctoral training at UMass Medical School, where she graduated with the Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award. Subsequently, Dr. Sinha continued her academic research career as a post-doctoral Howard Hughes Medical Institute Associate in the Harvard Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Department.
